From 1983 to 2020, TCT has diversified and expanded in the medical field. In 2020, TCT has initiated a massive reconstruction project of the Hospital premises. A brief background of Medical services provided before we embarked on the reconstruction project is given below:
- We had 60+ visiting & in-house Doctors and 45+ staff members, consisting of Nurses, Ward Boys, Technicians and Administrative Staff.
- We provided IPD and OPD Facilities in 20+ Medical fields, including General Medicine, Orthopedic, Endoscopy / Gastroscopy / Colonoscopy, Diabetes, Gynecology, ENT, Pediatric, Opthalmology, Dermatology, Oncology, Physchology, Cleft, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Dialysis, Urology, Pain Relief, Radiology, Plastic Surgery, TMT, etc
- We were running and managing support services like Pathology Laboratory (tieups with Unipath and Chikitsa Laboratories), Physiotherapy Center, Pain relief clinic, Radiology Departments
- We provided facilities like Medical Store, Ambulance services, Library room, Canteen. There was a separate waiting area for relatives of IPD patients.
- We organized Medical Camps on regular basis to provide medical facilities from visiting expert doctors from India and abroad.
- We had tie-ups with various institutions like PRL, ISRO, Blind Men’s Association, SBI, Engineers & Architect Association to provide medical care to their employees or inmates.
- Cleft Center
Since April 2006, The Gujarat Cleft and Craniofacial Research Institute is running the Cleft centre at our Hospital. The patients, mainly pediatric having deformities of lip & palate, are operated and treated free of cost. These operations are done by Dr Shyam Sheth and supported by the NGOs from Germany, UK and USA.
- Karunalaya – Cancer Hospice Center
It is a 10 bed, Cancer Paliative Care Center, which provides care to cancer patients in advanced stage, irrespective of community, caste or creed. It is free of cost with special preference to poor and needy. It is managed by Shyam Oncology Foundation under the supervision of Oncologist Dr Chirag Shah (Apollo Hospital).
- Dialysis Center
This centre operates on 3 machines and provides Dialysis facilities at an average cost of Rs 600 per dialysis only. The hospital has regular patients who come for Dialysis like recently a patient has conducted 1358th dialysis and 949th dialysis at our centre. The centre was set up on donation of Navprakash Chartities – Mr Hemantbhai Kolsawala & Late Shri Navinbhai Kolsawala. It is now supported by P. C. Snehal & Co.
- Senior Citizen Center
This is an initiative to provide medical services to senior citizens who are unable to visit our hospital or who need medical care & support. Our medical team visits such persons at their homes to provide medical assistance. This initiative is supported by Hiramani Welfare Society, founded by Late Shri Jayantilal Bhikhabhai Shah. These services are provided at concessional rates or free of cost.
- Sadhu Sadhvi Support
While we serve general public irrespective of caste and creed, Sadhus Sadhvis from all religions need separate rooms for treatments as per the religious obligations. We provide separate areas for such saints and also send our medical team to Upashryas / Ashrams. These total services are free of cost.
